My 83 KDX250 flywheel is toast, you know, the one where the magnets are glued in (super dumb design). I came accross something interesting though. I found a site http://www.rickystator.com/ and he makes a stator and flywheel WITH INTERNAL MAGENETS for the Tecate3-4. I compared both flywheel and stator and the designs are EXACT to my KDX. The only difference seems that the harness to the stator is shorter. Anyone do swaps like this (flywheels) before?

so write him and ask him to make the harness your length. i would also make sure the output is the same for both bikes.
