timing

here are some tips that may help
position the crank at TDC
-turn the crank until the "T" mark is aligned w/ the slit in the inspection window
pull the exhaust side of the chain taut before fitting the chain to the exhaust cam sproket
the exhaust side(front) timing mark must be aligned with the cylinder head upper surface
the intake side timing must be postioned upward about 3 degrees from the cylinder head upper surface or so the first notch below the mark is even with the cylinder head surface

i am having problem with my 94 klr 250 timing just wonder it's say's line the dot on the pully with the cylinder head but is this to the front or back or do they face each other
