Hey, if you want to take a *long* road trip, I will sell you mine. I am wanting to upgrade to a 250.Yeah no to Honda for me...Done with them...I am trying to find an a KX 125 but they are far in between.
Sound advice...Again my focus is a little on power, but more on being able to learn at a pace that is assuring yet fun...I do not want to wind it out and just go flying. The 125 is lighter, doesn't push the front end as much, and probably a better first round. It also is a better teacher,as it takes a bit more work to keep it in the powerband.
They also do not seem to give "arm pump" as bad as a 250 when learning. (people hold onto the bars too tight when intimidated ). 125's are easy to buy and sell. You will know what you want after a spell on a 125(some prefer to keep one around forever)
...again,only my opinion.
no, its the exact opposite, the 4 strokes are starting to get power yes. But they are alot more maintnence becuase they have more than twice as many parts as any 2 stroke. they have lots of tourque, but they dont enjoy getting maxxed out.Whatever you do, don't under estimate the new 250 lites. They have some power and being 4 stroke...less maintenance and enough power and torque to pull you and then some.
I'm not doubting you on the street, but dirt is a different world.
I definitely want a two stroke...The bike purchase has to wait another two weeks since the the fridge went out and had to buy a new one for $2300...That was my bike money...Oh well home service warranty will fix other fridge meaning I will have one in the garage like I have always wanted...Tons of YZ 250s out here...Hardly any KX...Most likely more people keep them longer probably.no, its the exact opposite, the 4 strokes are starting to get power yes. yea thats the strange thing, i rarely see any bikes from kawasaki. I think they are very popular in the southern area of America, but here in BC they arent as popular even to know they have like 3 warehouses here. still nothing compared to the states. yamahas are very popular here because we have all the rocky mountains and such so we got alot of visiters that are into snowmobiling and from that yamaha moves here to advertise.I definitely want a two stroke...The bike purchase has to wait another two weeks since the the fridge went out and had to buy a new one for $2300...That was my bike money...Oh well home service warranty will fix other fridge meaning I will have one in the garage like I have always wanted...Tons of YZ 250s out here...Hardly any KX...Most likely more people keep them longer probably.
On Craigslist all there are, are Hondas and Yamahas...Heck I will even take a Suzuki...But there are none of those either...I'll get one soon...Just need to get over the busted fridge...yea thats the strange thing, i rarely see any bikes from kawasaki. twice as many parts...Yes. But when do you ever hear of some one rebuilding the top end of a 4 stroke 2-3 times a year. and if the stock CDI is in place, you can run a 4 stroke at its limiter all day long. They are set at a conservative 2k rpm below max redline.no, its the exact opposite, the 4 strokes are starting to get power yes.
