If you change the oil in the gearbox,any motorcycle rated (for wet mesh clutch) 10w 40 motor oil for motorcycles will do down there.

As for premix,..32:1 is always a safe bet,...I use 40:1 in all the moto-x bikes,but I use a good quality synthetic(Redline racing premix).

If the bike has been sitting for quite a while,it would also be a good idea to clean the carb and jets thoroughly.

Auto parts store will not have the pre-mix you want/need. You need to go to a motorcycle shop. Use Kloz R-50 and run 32:1 more oil means more HP. Just need to make sure you are not failing plugs. 10W40 is great on KX's, get the cheap stuff. You can get grips anywhere. The best place to get parts is either Dennis Kirk or Bob's Cycle.

Bel-Ray 80w Gear Saver Oil is a good choice in fact its similar to 10w40, thats for the crankcase only, and for your premix any synthetic, make sure its not made for oil injection. 32:1 to start with if it works, keep it, if you foul plugs try 36:1 or just ride it harder :grin:

 

Use the cheapest 10W40 you can get. Change every couple of rides or so.

thanks for the replays guys, i got 10-40 i put .7L (3/4 of a quart), i rode it with tha gas that was on it, but tomorrow, i'm going to get the synthetic stuff to mix with my gas.
good news bike runs awesome, i went to a place near by, it's about 4 acres, has some small jumps, and some sharp turns, mostly sand, what made my ride a bit harder, i never rode an off road bike on off road terrain, but i had fun for being the first time.

2-stroke oil

I use a brand called Injex, i get it at Shoppers Supply in my 89' kx80 bigwheel, i get it at Shoppers Supply. been usin it for better than 7 years. NEVER had a single problem, 32:1. I have never personally used synthetic oil so i couldnt recommend anything.
