The seal around the clutch actuator rod on my KX125 is leaking. I' ve heard that you can twist the rod back (opposite the way the clutch cable pulls it) to loosen it and pull it out to replace the seal. I have tried this, but the rod won't move. Is this the right way to remove it or is there another way?

Thanks.

You will have to remove the clutch cover to get the clutch actuator out.

Turning it only disengages the actuator from the clutch push rod, Because of it's design it can't be pulled up.

Ok, so after getting a description about an older KX (with the actuator rod on the right side), I thought try something and it worked.

1. Remove the clutch cover.
2. Remove clutch springs and pressure plate.
3. Pull the pushrod out slightly.
4. This disengages the pushrod from the actuator rod and now the actuator rod can be pulled out easily.
