has anyone on the forum used anything but the factory drain plug gasket. I was wondering if a 10mm copper crush washer such as used on brake line fittings would work. I can't see paying almost $3.50 for a little crush washer at the dealer. Any thoughts? Thanks

i don't see any reason why the copper one won't work... asvlong as it seal's you won't have a problem... try it out..

Yes it'll work. When I got my kx 80 it had a regular washer. But I eventually changed it because the washer came with a gasket kit I bought.
