I'm sure someone out there has worked through this and can share their success story with me. My newly acquired 82 KZ440 LTD has a fuel leak. It looks like the leak is coming from either the T that splits gas to the carbs or the O ring on the end of the T that fits into one of the carbs. I've replaced both O rings with a factory ones and the it looks like one of them still leaks. I've taken off the T and done a crude "blow" test of the T to check for cracks/leaks and there does not appear to be any problems with it.

Short of going nuts with RTV this is stumping me, although it is probably a simple thing and you may have solved it...Can anyone offer some advice on this problem?? I have heard that this may have been a common problem with this model...

Thanks

your leak

sounds like you need to ajust you floats is this the tee for the overflow or the tee for the fuel supply . if it is the overflow your floats are stuck or you float valve is bad an is not shutting down the fuel . if it is the fuel supply try replacing the tee an rings it is pretty cheap but time consumeing. to split carbs, good luck hope this may help ,fenny777.
