Just curious what you all use on your leather seats and saddlebags to keep them clean and protected. I picked up some Maguiars Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner/conditioner, but also see they have a Motorcycle leather cleaner/conditioner. Is there much difference between the 2 products? Any other recommendations?

Most seats are not made of leather. Leather does not hold up to the weather as well some of the synthetics.

Be careful what you apply to the seat; certain conditioners will make the seat very slippery. If the bike lives indoors (garage or shed) I wouldn't worry about it. Saddlebags can be dressed with any leather dressing.

Someone on this forum recommended these products to me a while ago. I use a cleaner and then the water proofer. It is not slippery at all once it dries.

Steve, I use Corbin saddle cream which you can order off their website. And yes, the Young Guns is leather where the driver sits. Their word of caution is:

"Just be sure to avoid cleaners or conditioners that contain petroleum products or kerosene!"
