Does anyone else feel like their knees are a little high on the 1500 Classic? I'm six foot and have long legs and feel a little like my knees are above my waist-not the best for comfort. My solution is to get a seat pad to put on the stock seat so that I will sit higher about an inch. This will also help with my line of sight over the windshield. Right now my windshield is a tad too highJust a little change can make for a lot more comfortable position. I have put on highway pegs on my Cobra highway bars and that made things much improved. I have also trimmed the brake pedal off about two inches and now I can move my foot forward on the right floorboard.

Any other comfort suggestions out there? Thanks.

i'm 6'5" and feel that there is plenty of leg room. i am coming from a vn750 though which was not comfy for my legs.

I'm 6'2" and have yet to find a bike that doesn't lack a little legroom. The 1500's and 1600's were the best which is one reason I bought the 1500.

go with a solo seat and see if you can fab up a bracket underneath it to slide the seat back about one or two inches? You would need to address the reach on the handle bars though. just a thought.

CJ, on my last bike, a VTX1300, I bought a solo seat from Ultimate Seats that put you back and up an inch each. It did wonders for the legroom on that bike. I like the seat on the Classic and want to try to keep it so the seat pad I think will be the answer.
