Most standard Kawasaki wiring color codes for the brake/tail light are:

RED,the running or tail light circuit.
BLUE,(sometimes with a red stripe)the brake light circuit.
BLACK with YELLOW stripe, the ground circuit.

Any other wires, I'd think would be for the rear turn signals. To check, get a multimeter, turn on the signals and either probe the bulb sockets/watch for flashing bulbs.

I just put an LED plate on my bike because I had to relocate the plate and it was not lit up anymore. Anyway, I just routed the wires back up into the tail light and spliced into the same wires for the license plate bulb. I did remove the bulb from the socket as it's not needed anymore. If I ever re-locate the plate back into it's original location I just need to re-install the bulb and I'm good to go. So far it works great!
