So today I changed the oil on my 96 ZX-9, this is the first time I changed it myself. As I was checking the user manual to see how much oil to add, I accidently placed my keys in the rear compartment under the back seat. I then forgot about my keys and put the back seat back on. All day today I have meen trying to find a way to remove the seat with no luck.

Any ideas as to how I can get at them will be greatly appeciated.

DOH!

You should be able to get new ones cut by the dealer. Call them and ask if they can look up your key code from your VIN.

I don't know what the underside of your seat looks like, but if it's just a metal bar that goes across horizontally, couldn't you just use a coat hanger and pull or push it back till the seat comes off? I'm supposing you could get to it from the bottom of the rear tire guard.

Those locks are not hard to pic! :wink: I'm sure you can find somebody you know to open it (probably faster that with the keys too!) If not ride to the local locksmith, he'll probably laugh but he will get your keys out in a minute.
