[lost cause]

I just bought an 03 1600 Classic. The bike runs great, plenty of power but the motor sounds like a an old pea picker. It rattles when idling and smooths out when cruising. When I twist the throttle hard I hear something that sounds like piston slap. None of this seems to be getting any worse as I ride. I have heard that Kaws traditionly have noisy engines. Whats making the noises that I hear.

:lol: :lol: there's a list of stuff on the 1600 that rattles

wires in headlight bucket
gas cap
radiator trim
to name a few

the engine noise is normal - the clicking at idle is the solenoids

best cure is tighten everything and buy some louder pipes :lol: :wink:

alot of 16's come from the factory with loose fasteners :roll:

i had to go over the whole bike and found several-once you find them all
everything should be fine and quiet :wink:
