I just purchased a 2003 vulcan 1600 with a mustang seat. The sits 2 inches higher than the new 2003 I demo'd. How can I lower the rear? Do I need to replace the shocks or can the stock shocks be adjusted?

Replace the rear shocks will do it. It'll cost a few hundred. I've seen 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 inch kits. The smart alternative is to purchase a low profile rear tire. I can't find the size off hand, but it is a Goldwing tire that some guys are using.
