Lowers

I'm thinking about getting some lowers for my bike. My legs really get dinged when I'm on the highway. I'm just wondering how many of you have them and whether you'd recommend them. I'm not worried much about style and looks, more about utilitarian purposes.

I built my own and they work great. Before I couldn't ride above 50mph without the head buffeting being so bad the road signs vibrated. Now I can light and smoke a cigar and wear a ball cap without it blowing off at 70mph. :D
