I see the only advantage as being able to say you got a 250 rear lol , it couldn't free up that much hp because it really doesn't reduce parasitic drag due to it running 2 chains 4 sprockets & 3 bearings but it does all transfer power in the same direction as opposed to the shaft making 90 degree turns but it's kinda nice to have the almost idiot proof shaft , I can't even count how many customers bring their bike in making a funny noise a couple hundred miles after they adjusted the chain (way to tight) and if they were lucky it was just chain & sprockets maybe rear wheel bearings & not the dreaded oil leaking blown seal damaged bearing and output shaft it could be
That is the ugliest mod I've ever seen??? Looks like they spent oh about $2,300 in R&D. What the heck were they thinking? Are there that many meanie riders out there saying "Gee I wish someone made a chain conversion????" LOL Dud.
I wouldn't buy it either. I like the convenience of shaft drive. That jack shaft setup doesn't look that good to me. However, I applaud the guy's efforts in making more mods available for the meanstreak since there are hardly any when compared to Roadstars and VTX's
