I was wondering if the holing in the Memphis Fats windshields is all the same regardless of the height & cut out for the headlamp.

I have the Memphis Fats 11" inch cut out for the locomotive headlamp on my VN2000. It is the 17" high (over the cut out for lamp), but I could really go for a taller one. The head buffeting is driving my nuts with my newest un-areodynamic flip front helmet.

Memphis doesn't sell the 21" with the 11" cut out. I see used shields on ebay, and I was wondering if the holes lined up the same. I could just line up the shields, and use a router to duplicate the headlamp cutout.

I wonder how the 11" cutout would work with a 1500. We have a 21" with the 9" cutout on our 1500 and it's too high. We were looking to get a 17. Maybe we could swap shields.

You might got too much wind through, maybe not? I have actually found New Memphis replacement shields for $62.95 with free shipping @ cruisercustomizing.com. I don't know if there is a minimum order for the free shipping?

I was looking at that too. Not from that site, but a thought in general, just replace the shield itself.
