I'm just curious if anyone knows of any aftermarket mirrrors that will help rear visability. The stock mirrors no matter how there adjusted ether give me a great view of my arm, or a view 90 degree's sideways. They just don't seem to stick out/up far enough to give any rearward visability. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Tim

I've seen bar end mirrors, meaning they attatch where the bar ends do. Those might give more visibility... But depending on the bike you have there might be more options.

Mirrors

I like bar end mirrors, but better than that is just changing the side of the lane (1/3) that you are in. It not only gives you a chance to see any traffic, but make s traffic aware of you. For this very reason I like having the mirrors in close and not outboard. Being invisable is bad enough...do wha t you can to be seen...

I thought I put the bike in my profile... oops  I have an 86 zx10r, I never considered bar end mirrors, that would certainly put the mirrors in a better position though. I was thinking more along the lines of extenders. Thanks for the replies.

Extenders

Extenders add more drag, and more torque/tightness to the already weak area where the mirrors already mount...I did see and add for Vertical mounted mirrors...looked like a /\ an inverted V mounted on the fairing in one of the Magazines...Sport Rider, Cycle World...can't remember now...I don't have a decent bike that would need mirrors like that. Nice bike...though. Lots of nice ones out there...I jst don't see many living in a farm town...esp in a H-D area of the country...
