It's been a long time for sure, but I miss your laugh, smile and **** I miss miss moms "redhot" apple pie!!! We only met in person for a week, but wow you made a larger impression on me than I can ever explain. From the crushed concrete driveway to that crazy place you brought us the night we were there (yea, you know what i'm talking about :)), to your kids who adored your every move, I miss you bud. I rode a long ways to meet many people, but rest assured, you where the "pilot" that everyone came to see. I'll never forget (and talk about often) the brief memories we shared. Remember when we were coming across the badlands, it was POURING, and we were doing about 100mph, these mini tornadoes sprung up from the south and you pulled up from behind me, I screamed over to you "WTF do we do??!!??!" You gave me that big ole darren smile and said "go faster" LOL I almost crapped a brick during that ride. Or when we left Red Lodge and rode thru those mountains, never knowing when some free range steer was ready to meet us at full throttle in the middle of some turn?! When we finally got to your house, moms pie was waiting, I know you are already fully aware, but wow, she baked a mean pie :)

Anyways, it been a long time since i've been around, but I promise, I will make it up to your memorial sooner than later buddy. I can't explain why, but you made a larger than imaginable impression on me. I've been reading Dave's post's lately, he's busy helping out those who were effected by the hurricane (yea, he's still buying a new bike every year LOL). Im sure you are up on everyone's going's on, but he is the only one that I have really kept in touch with. Yea, I dont know why either. It's been too long, but the last time I talked to Dave, I was shocked to hear about the news of you buddy, I had just kind of randomly checked this site and saw a memorial for you. Wow what a shock. Some day i will get involved in a ride up to RL in your honor, no doubt about that.

IDK, just kind of rambling here and hoping in some crazy way you are reading this, but I guess this is my way of saying goodbye, many years too late. I hope your kids and family are doing great, and I truly hope you are looking down and laughing at us all :)

BTW - I'm in TX now, so much for NYcruiser!! Not only that, but I'm riding a Harley!!! WTF is wrong with me?!?!.

RIP, always.

Ian "nycruiser".

I never got the chance to meet him but we did have a few conversations when I was shopping for a new bike. He seemed a very patient man to me, taking the time to look at stuff in the showroom for me.

I never got to meet him but back a few years ago, we used to have a helluva good time with the Chevy/Ford banter.
R.I.P. brother. You are gone but never forgotten

Ian, glad to know you are still kicking. If you remember that week, then you might remember that I rode your V2k (since you didn't want to trade straight up for my 800....). You were right when you said I would want one if I rode it, and I got one just over a year later in Nov. 06. I still have it and still love the heck out of it. I hope you are healthy and doing well.
As for our friend, Deron, he will always live in our hearts and minds.
