A pint is 16 oz, a quart is 32. 4 quarts a gallon.

So, one ounce per quart, 4 oz. per gallon.

I used to mix around 25:1 to be safe. If your plug fouls out a lot then reduce the oil used. Yay environmental destruction!

If you have a high quality synthetic oil, mix it at 50:1 or 42:1. With regular 2 stroke oil mix it at 40:1. There is no need to mix at 25:1 anymore. Oils have improved, and if you mix it at 25:1 you are just wasting oil and clogging the engine up.

Good to know. Dad always drilled the "better safe than sorry" into me.
