Hi,
I recently bought a Kawasaki Mt1 to restore. I picked up a universal carburetor on eBay for it and got it to run off that. It runs fine on choke but whenever I take it off choke the engine revs uncontrollably. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything or what could cause it to do this. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

You likely have a vacuum leak. Check all possibly locations where air could be leaking into the carb or the connection between carb and cylinder.
