I have a 2000 Mule 2510 Diesel 4x4 and am looking for a complete used unit to swap in there. Can anyone refer a salvage yard or someplace to find one? Don't need the alternator, starter etc...

Check with a John Deere dealer about a replacement rebuilt engine, the gas JD Gator has the same engine.

The diesel engines are Daewoo. However, Kawasaki uses the turbocharged version without the turbo to get the correct crankshaft strength for Mule use. Briggs and Stratton now sells the engine in the US, just be sure to stay with the turbo version then use the fuel injection pump from your old engine, or you will snap the crankshaft if you cut corners and try the lower cost unit.
