So I think I have hubby bought into my evil plan. He test rode the KTM SuperDuke and wants one bad. I am thinking I would like a 650r as my next bike but I am a little nervous to move up. So I asked him if he would sell his Aprilia and get a 650 so we could share it and I could practice on it for the next couple of months. This way, I still have my 250 to ride around while I am getting used to the 650. Most of the time we don't ride at the same time b/c we have the kids so it's no problem to share, and if we go out together, he takes the 650 and I take the 250. Once I'm ready for the 650 to be my full time bike, we sell the 250 and he gets his SD.

You persuasive little Devil!! You know, of course, that you have broken the "Woman Code" by giving us this little insight into your mental processes?

Sounds like a win-win deal to me (but then again, I'm not the one writing the check to cover the cost!).

Have fun!

He was also looking at an Aprilia Tuono but he is 6'2" with a 34" inseam and the SD fit him really well. He is cramped on most bikes.

Sounds like a nice plan IMO...The Duke is a badarse bike. Though having an Apilia has cache.

I was surprised he agreed so easily. Maybe b/c he knows it will be getting kinda cold soon and he won't want to ride as much. Unfortunately no bites on his bike yet so it may not work out. Cool thing is that I've seen a couple of '06 650s in the $4000-$4200 range. Some dealers are selling '07s for $5500-$5700 OTD.

For what it's worth, there is a write up of the Versys in the December issue of Rider Magazine. They have positive things to say about it. I'll bet the OTD 07 prices will improve in the coming months too!
