hey all. just bought my first bike.

a 2009 ninja 650r

what kind of accesories do you guys reccomend? any suggestions will be helpful. tips on getting the best gas mileage. etc

i am very new to motorcycling. but i love it already

ive heard of this thing called a chatterbox?
and lo jack. and stuff like that....

Take the MSF course. Practice, practice, practice. Do not ride above you ability......................................and, slow down.

The best thing you can buy for your bike is gasoline.

You'll love the 650R. I have an '07. Great bike for carving canyons or touring over the mountain passes.

And, yes, take the MSF course!!!

Check out my profile to see all of the accessories I've added. Mine's kitted out for touring - don't know if that's what your into.

yes, i have taken the MSF it taught me a lot.

i would like some kind of storage area. how did you do it?

and yes i dont really want exhaust or anything. just some music or something.

ill post pictures soon.

I have Givi top box and hard side cases. Plenty of storage. The side cases come with (or you can purchase - can't remember) interior waterproof bags with carry straps that are shaped to fit in the cases. Very handy!



Here we are on a trip to the San Juan Islands off the coast of WA State. You can see the shape of the cases better here. Had enough room to pack for a week in the cases and top box. And I have a tank bag that attaches with magnets. What you see on my back seat is The Hubby's tank bag.
