Hi im new to this site and live in england ,heres hoping can anyone out there help me with a carb problem??on a nz1100 shaft 84 /85model bike turns over no problem but wont start ,only for a short time when choke lever on.cannot get a workshop manual in england ,could do with knowing float hieghts please can anybody help, the bike was registerd in 1984/5,california regerstration,main jets 127.5 ,mikuni carbs, cannot find anymore info in carbs ,4into1 exhaust small internal baffel,compresstion 148psi all 4 cylinders,
bike ran unevan missfiring and sitting back dont go at all now.

Find a manual for a z1000j. Use those specs. AFTER you clean the carbs and unclog the slow (pilot) jets, resist the urge to discard the airbox, adjust the valves to .006 which is the LOOSE side of tolerance. Change the Spark Plug Resistor Caps to New NGK brand. (pattern part, easily available) And NOTHING is better than an NGK plug. Fully charged battery. Welcome to the zoo.
