i've searched but haven't found anything specificly how to do this or accounts of people that have. This is my first bike and I have all the tools to do just about anything on a car and am mechanically inclined so would like to do it myself if possible. So if anyone could help me out much appreciated. Email me if need to [email protected]. DJ

How much do you need to lower it??? Essentially you would either have your dogbones modified or have a pair made to meet your needs. Muzzy may have something made already.

I can barely get my the tips of my toes to touch both sides at the same time. I can ride fine but just would feel more comfortable it I could have it a little lower. Maybe like an inch roughly.

i know the seat on zx-6rr's are allready quite thin and rock hard, but if you need to, you can trim material (foam) from under the covering to make the seat height lower, if you can't drop the suspension enough.

1Adam12 is correct you will need new lowerng links or dogbones. You should also lower the front by loosening the triple clamp and sliding the forks through.

You can find them cheap on eBay:

or you can buy them here:

or get them from Muzzy:
http://www.muzzys.com/catalog/chassis.html#links

Remember if you lower your bike you will also need to modify the kickstand.

In addition you can shave your seat. Check this out: http://kawiforums.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18814

I hope this helps! :D
