Just bought 2 '06 Vulcans for Christmas. A 750 with 2800 miles for me and a 900 with 8K for my hubby. Any problems we should be looking for? Or should we pay the extra $900 each for 2 yr warranties - seemed kinda pricey. Thanks!

The 900 will need tires very soon. If the 900 is an LT it will still have a few months left on the factory warrenty. Give them both a good oil change.

I only paid 4 or 500 for a 4yr warrenty on my 900LT in May 06 when I bought it so yeah 900 for 2 years is extreme!

nice choice of bikes, the 750 has been around so long they had all the bugs worked out, and it is a great fun riding cruiser (I still have my 96 out back). Have the 900 (custom) as well and have not heard of or encountered any real problems yet. Like pat0021 said if the tires have not been replaced yet the 900 should need them real soon. Warrenties are a great idea for peace of mind, for mine brand new it was a little over $400 for 4 years, not quite sure about prices on used bikes though. If you have not already, try a quick internet search and see what pops up, although IMHO if its the best you can get $900 would be worth it on two bikes you might not know the history of.

MERRY CHRISTMAS:mrgreen: ride safe and have fun:-D

There's a dealer on Ebay somewhere that sales Kawa Warranties. Don't remember who though, but I remember that they are cheaper than most dealers. Check to make sure you're dealer will honor them, which they should, and purchase them there.

And if you want to slip one of those bikes under my Christmas tree PM me and I'll give you the garage door code.

 Congrats! Too bad the weather outside today is not good for a little ride.....I thought about it but quite a few frozen patches on the road from the rain yesteday.... As far as the warrenties personally I think any bugs or problems should have been worked out by now but if you don't know the seller or history of the bikes 900 bucks buys you peace of mind although to me that seems a little steep....Good luck

Sounds high for the warranties. Paid just under $400 for a 4 year on the 900 when I bought the bike. Check e-bay. No real problems with the 900 except the ECU recall on the '06. Check with the dealer to make sure it has been changed out if the bike was in the recall list. BTW - sounds like you 2 have been very good this year for Santa to bring such nice bikes to both of you. ;)

Welcome & Merry Xmas.

IMO 900 each was way too much for a 2-year warranty. If it's a prepaid maint plan, that's another matter. Cast about on ebay. you can do better.

Awesome presents 4u, but the requisite photos appear to have gone missing!

Ride safe in 08!

They're here!!

Bikes are here!! Will post pics as soon as I can find the cable to link the camera to the PC. But they are matching black and red beauties :) . Thanks for ALL the info. Hope to get the warranties through Madden's e-bay link just in case, since both have expired. Oh, BTW, MrClean, hubby gets the 900 since I am upgrading from a 305 CSR. Too big a jump to go to a 900, although he already picked out the one he wants "next" year  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
