Hi, I'm Freddie, and I own a 1998 ZZR600, a lovely machine in very good condition. I am married, have interests that include photography, piano, writing, and drinking lots of wine - not necessarily all at the same time. I live in a very rural location in Suffolk UK and I am old enough to be your grandfather - in fact, chances are I AM your grandfather. I have 2 grown daughters and several grandkids, as well as a great-grandkid. Despite my age, I am active and happy, and find the ZZR a tad uncomfortable now, but still enjoy getting my leg over (the bike, sir) when weather permits - something that comes around every decade or so, here in the good old UK. Nice to be part of the forum, will post when I can, have joined primarily because I like the Kwackers, and if you can excuse the liberty, I also wanted to ask a question that concerns my bike. I will post that soon. Cheers!

You'd have to be well into the triple digits to be my Grandfather!! Welcome ! This is a great forum. Lots of friendly knowledgeable people. I'd imagine you've picked up quite a few bits yourself along the way. I had the privilege of many years ago of spending 3 months in the U.K.. That was back in 1974. I'm told that U.K. doesn't exists anymore. Same here, but somethings never change. Welcome to the forum. ;)

Welcome from another UK member (first grandchild due in March).

The ZZR600 is a great bike, I bought mine 32 years ago! Long gone now though. Smaller bikes are all you need even though the zzr is good for 150mph; big bikes are really only about vanity, particularly over here in the uk.

Ask away, we are a helpful bunch and any question, however stupid you may feel it is, is valid. We have all learnt new things due to apparently stupid questions this past year.
