Just found this forum. I am known as wiredgeorge. I live in the Texas Hill Country (Mico TX). I rebuild, repair and sell older Mikuni carburetors (VM24, VM26, VM28 etc) as well as newer CV/CVK carburetors for a living. I currently own three Kawasakis (just sold a Vulcan 1500A). I have a 2001 Nomad, a 1976 KZ900A4 and a project KZ1000 in bits and pieces. I am also a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, the Venturers and the Vulcan Riders and Owners Club and hang out at kzrider.com and thegsresources.com Cheer!

We are gettting lots of people from Texas and Arizona...Perhaps in preparation fo rthe upcoming election??> All I know is that Personal Property taxes on land, vehicles etc, is out of hand here in Kansas. I'm paying more each year than the original 80 acres that my grandfather paid for the entire place and now I only have 10 acres, an da house that was built in 1965 and a pole barn with gravel floor. Wha have gravel roads/mud roads right now with holes big enough that you couldn't ride a street bike on, and I'm getting out of here just as soon as my wife is cleared after the kidney transplant... Nice to have wiredgeorge on board our forum...

For Spok, My 1500A was a pretty nice bike. I just rebuilt the top end and sold it about a month and a half ago. I had made quite a few modifications including bodywork, lowering and it was hot rodded a bit. Had 10.6:1 compression pistons, head flowed, cams, and a few other tricks.
