Whats up everyone, my name is kevin, I ride a 95 zx7. I've been riding different ninjas for about 7 years. Last year blew my engine, haveing trouble finding a new one. Does anyone know where I can find an engine? I posted on the swap page, but is there any reliable engine dealers that might give some kind of warrenty, or who are trustworthy? I'm from Pittsburgh, PA but would travel a decent distance for a good motor.THNX

hey kevin, great to have you here. sorry to hear about your engine problems, wish i had a good solution. have you looked into having it rebuilt ? might make out alright that way, plus it gives you the opportunity to modify it if you so choose. good luck, hope you're back on the road soon.

kyhick1, thanks for the link, I'll try it.
ispeed7, nobody around here does it that I know of, the biggest bike shops around suggest a swap from a wrecked one, don't know if they just don't know how to work on them, or if it will just be way too expensive. I'm sure if i was in the south or west that would be the solution.

anyway, I have the 95 zx7, green paint, slip on d&d, polished wheels,vortex rear sprocket, -1 tooth on front,smoked windsheild, fender eliminator w/ integrated tailight.(no pics, so people know what I have)

Glad to be here, just wish my bike was running.1st summer I haven't ridden since 96, evertime I heard a bike, I shed a tear this summer.

i am sure there is a small shop that would do it, but then you lose your warranty potentials. whatever you decide to do, good luck. hate to see a good bike sitting and a rider crying ! hope you get to ride next season.

Know the feeling. I call it road fever....That envious feeling a bikers gets when he/she isen't riding, but wants to...

Yesterday was a great day to ride, but I had a car full of kids to shuttle, so I didn't get to ride, but Mack did.

I don't know how mechanical you are, but maybe you could find a wrecked one with a good engine and swap it out.....or just go up on the internet and look for another newer one.....I bought both of my Kawi's in ebay.

Good luck...are you up on EBay or someother auction site....If you could locate a similar bike it would just be a matter of swapping things out. The carbs are best left for experienced mechanics. Mack cleaned the carbs on my 750 and had to take it into my mechanics for a tuneup...$85 well spent.

you could look to Bent Bike, they are in Lynwood, Washington and I think their url is bentbike.com, if not, just search on Google. They are a major recycler of used parts in my neck of the woods
