I originally put this in the main lobby but think it may get more responses here-

Hello all. Name is Craig and am one of those first time (1980's) Kawasaki riders (CSR 305, LTD 440, Ninja 600) that left the fold but am looking to return.
I race a GSXR600 but recently participated in a race on a 03 ZX6RR and absolutely loved the bike....
Until the motor blew (Picture in the main lobby part of the forum under recent "newbie" topic)
Still, the bike was probably overdue for a rebuild and hasn't deterred me from getting an 05 ZX6RR to campaign this year.
Are there any racers here that can report failures or has everyone experienced mechanical bliss? Any inputs will help the decision process.
Thanks!

I have thankfully only experienced mechanical bliss. Tear down every season. but no failures yet. (where is that piece of wood) Kwai makes a pretty bullet proof engine. good luck next year! go green!

I think that was the problem with this bike.
It was raced hard for all of 2003, "checked" then sporadically run in 2004.

No rebuild in-between, which for me is mandatory.

The bike belonged to another race team so not my loss but still feel bad for all involved.

Thanks for the feedback.
