Our 900LT has been making a bad noise that our local dealer tried to tell us was a "normal v-twin noise after break in". We knew better!!!! So, Saturday Chaz and I rode to Fredericksburg, VA to a dealer there (about an hour and half from us) and took the pretty scenic back roads. Thank goodness their mechanic agreed the noise was NOT NORMAL! We have an appointment on the 16th of this month....YIPPPEEEEE!!!!

So, here are some pictures from our pretty ride

Some with Chaz leading

Now some with me leading

Beautiful scene Cheri! What did the noise sound like?
Thank you!
It's hard to describe in words....as soon as you turn the key and start it, there is a whinny kind of noise that even sounds like air is escaping from somewhere in the motor.....like a gasket leak. I kept hearing it in the front left area...I think I was told it was the starter gear area...

The mechanic Saturday said he could hear it in that area too, but said the sound was even louder coming out of the end of the muffler pipe!!!! He even suspects something in the cylinder area!!! Thank goodness the bike is under warranty!!! I'll follow up with the results after they fix it for other 900 owners to watch for.

Nice pics, fall riding is the best.
Thank you Tina! I kept riding along in awe of the beautiful scenery!!! It was actually chilly that day, but I realized after riding for a while and taking in the crisp clean cool air and watching the pretty trees go by, that I wasn't aware of the cold anymore

Thanks Spok....I am just SO GRATEFUL to these people that they agree she isn't herself!!!! Seriously, by the time we walked back to service to check on the what the mechanic thought, they had already run her VIN number to see if she had any recalls, they saw the ECU recall we had replaced and told us they were going to call the Kawasaki tech line to see if this has happened to any others!!!! They really made me feel like they will take excellent care of my girl!!!!!! ;)

Would have taken pics when we went out yesterday, but I was busy trying to drive!  Actually I did pretty good. I'm a terrible passenger, but I behaved myself. My reward was him opening up the throttle! SPEEEEEEEEED!!!!

Well, at least you admit it!!!! I am a terrible passenger too!!! ALWAYS trying to tell Chaz how to ride better!!!! God Bless him, he puts up with me and doesn't push me off the back!!!!! ;)

Of course, I have never been a passenger on a sport bike....might be too scared to open my mouth on one of those!!!!

I feel just a TAD ungainly back there. I think that seat was created for 120lb 20 year old, not anyone of my age and size!

I opened my mouth. I was giggling like crazy, and saying, "Faster, whack that throttle!"
