Hey guys, I plan on chaning the oil today in my '05 Ninja 250R. I've read that it's best to change the crush washer on the drain plug with every change. However, I don't have a new one. I work at Napa Auto parts, and the closest thing we have is a 12x20x2 gasket whereas the articles call for a 12x22x2. I have 2 questions, first off, do I need to change it? Second, if I do need to change it, can I use the one I have at work? Thanks guys.

Lol, I asked 2 questions, which one are you answering?

You can re-use it. I don't change them out until they stay wet, then I know they are not holding.

You just need to know which side is which so if there is any irregularities in the metal of the pan or bolt, they match up.

Of course if your one of those people that tightening things so tight you need impact to get off again, then yes you need to replace it.
