Here in Eau Claire, WI the Kawi dealer is also a HD dealer. Actually they are very much the other way around. I bought my 900 LT there this spring and since joining this forum and reading the reviews have waited for them to get some Nomads or V2Ks in so I could test ride them or at least check them out. So far nothing, so I asked a guy there if they ever had them. Basically they probably won't. He says it's because the 900 is so popular. I wonder though. They have something like 30 HD's almost all over $20,000+. Do they not want to show people the big Kawi's due to the $6000 or so price difference? In a couple of years when I want to move up to the Nomad (which I already know I will!) I'm going to have to drive 200 miles just to see one, when there is a da#n dealer in my home town!

I am surprised that an HD dealer would have ANY of the competing v-twins on the floor. Except for the "got to have a HD" die-hards, many people would start to think twice about dropping the extra money if they could compare more side by side.

I was seriously looking at a 2008 Electra Glide Classic but could not justify the nearly $10K increase over a new 2007 Nomad. I know that isn't a true apples-to-apples comparison and I did take advantage of the rebate on the new 2007, but I am smiling ear-to-ear riding my Nomad and have no regrets at all.

It is amazing, there are several that I know of (Two in our state alone) that have HD with KTM, Polaris, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc. The ones I have not seen combine/share are Kaw and Honda, although I am sure they are out there. It's a trip going in to the store....like a Walmart of bikes, everywhere you look, acres of bikes, it's almost nirvana!
