The dealer sent me the vin number and info on it and it's a vulcan VN1500-L5. Others I have seen advertised are listed as -FI That's why I wanted to know the difference.
Hi, f-r-c,
I think Kawasaki attaches suffixes on their models that indicate the number of years that bike has been in production. L5 would be the 5th year. I had a Vulcan 750, model VN750a17. It was the 17th year of production for that bike. The dealer should know for sure though. Of course, the FI is for fuel injected. Kawa dropped carbureted 1500s in 2000, I think.
Maybe somebody knows for sure.
