I have oil (or it could be clutch fluid although the level is not dropping) leaking at or near the clutch slave cylinder. It was not identifiable as to being at the banjo or the slave. It is believe to be at the spacer to which I have ordered another and new banjo washers.

Does anyone have any other Ideas? It is a very, very, very (you get the idea) slow drip.

06 Nomad 36K miles always ridden heard and put away wet.

Eric, why don't you bring the big black beast up here to the shop and let us take a look at it.... (if you do, you might get the work done for a 18 pack of Busch)

See ya buddy...

Other than the weather being a bit cool for a 75 mile interstate ride (honest officer, I thought 95 was the speed limit not the road number), not really. We believe that my original believe is correct and the "spacer" at the clutch slave was allowing oil to seep out. The mechanic at "Z"'s shop didn't believe the spacer was bad, just not torqued evenly. He took it apart and showed me a bushing inside that will need replace. I still have the new spacer should it continue to leak.

Everyone at the shop was great and the mechanic (Chris?) new his stuff and was fast. Seven Bridges Motorcycle shop in Jacksonville, FL.

Turns out that the seal around the clutch actuator rod had come un-seated and will need to be replaced eventually. This seal is supposed to be pressed into the case and when the rod was removed the seal came out with it, it's not supposed to do that. We didn't have the seal in stock so we used some sealant to hold it in place and hopefully reduce or stop the leaking until EJ can get a new seal. It's a real simple procedure to replace the seal, something that EJ can do himself if it continues to leak.

I stopped by the Kawi dealer in St aug and they couldn't find a part number "there is no seal". My service manual also shows no such seal. Any ideas?

Hey what about me? I deserve a beer (or three) just for being. On a lighter note (not that I am getting any lighter) thanks you for the part number. I will order it first thing in the AM.

I put the new seal in and it and it was nice and very tight. The old one came out very easily. So thank you to the folks at 7 Rivers in Jax. They know what they are doing the first time.

Eric, you're more than welcome. I'm happy to hear that you got the new seal in without any issues, good job.

By the way, the name of your favorite shop isn't 7 rivers, it's Seven Bridges Cycles. That may cost you another 18 pack!!!

See ya soon...
