While on the side stand, look just behind where the kick stand attaches to the frame. You will see it just behind the frame on the engine block. It has a bolt head but the whole plug is about the size of a .50 cent piece. Hope this helps.
Thank you. I will take a look at it during the next oil change.

BTW good idea to have a spare O-ring along with spare drain plugs in your ditty bag. I always order all the doo-dads that can screw me if the get damged ad keep them on hand. That way if i need it, its there, and then i order another one...it may be an extra 20 or 30 bucks for the stuff...but TRUST ME, the first time your "SCREWED!!!" cuz of a 45 cent washer, you will be thankful you did! just my $0.02

Where can i find the plug to pull the oil screen on a 06 vulcan 900LT ? email me [email protected]
where is the oil screen on a 06 900LT?
I'm gonna assume it's in the same place as the '08s. Starting at the bottom left corner (left, as in the shifter side), run your fingers rearward on the inside of the frame tube. When you get around the kickstand area you'll feel a noticeable indentation. Stop. Look at the engine right at that spot. You'll see what looks like a bolt head with a very big washer. That's it.

Your owner's manual should have this info. If you don't have the manual, it can be accessed for free at kawasaki dot com in the "Owner Center". You can also purchase a service manual there also.

I have a 2009 Vulcan 2000 Classic LT. Do I have to pull oil pan to get to oil screen?
I had 2 kaws with oil screens. On neither did I have to remove anything but the cap of the screen containment. But I need to ask- why are you considering pulling a screen after 22 or 23 yrs of use? Buying from new, there was no point in pulling the screen more than 2 or 3 times. And even then it was mostly rubberized gasket material.
