can i mix 2 quarts of 20/50 amsoil with 1 quart of 10/40 amsoil.... just to make it a little heavier than 10/40.. but, not as heavy as 20/50 ??

Why? 10w40 is all you need. IMO 20w50 is just too heavy in a Kawi. These bikes are water-cooled and just don't run hot like a Harley.

S'why I use it. You can mix the multi's keep the mono's apart.

He lives in Florida, it's a different world than some of you. I run the 20w-50 in the heat of the summer from July through August. Some of our days in that time can go over 100 degrees which if you look at the spec charts, the 10W-40 is not recommend over 104 degrees, you'll need 50 weight for that. Plus, the low point for using 20W is 32 degrees. Florida boys don't generally ride under 60 if I quote some of them successfully so he's well into the minimum specs for 20W-50. The transmission and the rest of the motor is quieter with the 20W-50 and evidently from the chart, quite easily in spec.

I wouldn't really worry about mixing myself. You're just splitting the difference between 32 and 14 degrees.

Well I already put in Mobil 10/40 mc synthetic today with a K&N oil filter. I'll switch to the 20/50 when the heat starts building again in the spring... Also changed my final drive fluid with Amsoil 80/90. Put in a set of NGK plugs as well. She's all set for another 4-5,000 miles!

you can also switch between synthetic and dino oil as often as you want to.

I'm not against mixing oils or mixing dino with synthetic. But I am still left with the question of why? 10W40 would cover your range for the next 2-4 months, by that time you should be ready for your next oil change and you can switch to 20W50 for the summer. But since you live in FL and the temp barely gets below 32 you could always run 20w50 with no problems. So why bother mixing. Just crack the top of your favorite oil and pour away.
