Hey ya guys. I have just got a 1984 GPZ900 up and running after i purchased it in october and it needed a new Starter Clutch. So i am ready to give the old girl a spray. I am looking at the same paint scheme out of top gun. The Red and black with the white line. Now the black wont be a problem but i am chasing the color for the red. I have came across some information that one is called Firecracker Red. Does any only have any other paint codes or formulas??? or is this even the correct one. Kawasaki 606 Firecracker Red - ColorRite

Let me know if you have any information.

Cheers

James

'82 and '83 GPz, the paint color was Firecracker Red. I can't say if that was the same color used in '84 or not. Colorite, I hear raves and rants about. It's hard to say which is more accurate.

In an attempt to actually help however, I do have a paint mix which is supposed to be an accurate replica of the original Firecracker Red:

Dupont Chromapremier Base/Clear Coat
16 oz.

886 J Opaque Red 65.5
864 J Magenta 93.0
850 J Brilliant Red 118.6
853 J Red Orange 140.0
807 J LS Black 141.5
62320 F Binder 308.1
62330 F Balancer 438.7

Hope that can help you out.
