I was reading a post about a member getting a lime green paint job, and I was wondering how much that would cost. I was thinking about just bring the parts to a body shop. It's not much work at all, but I wanted some opinions on it.

I'm a lair... I can't remember what the guy's username was that got his ninja 500 painted lime green.

You are looking from 300-1000 bucks though, depending on who does the work, the kind of paint used, and how much prep work needs to be done. You can get one painted a LOT cheaper if you do all the prep work yourself. IE wet sanding all the plastics with 400 or 500 wet/dry sandpaper. If you get the entire surface so its ready for paint then it won't cost anywhere near as much to get the paint job done. (IE 300-500)

Mine was roughly $800 bucks....i brought the parts in myself. Stay away from paint strippers if you do prep work yourself.

Do it yourself, or do what my friends did, find someone that's in auto body classes and have them do it for you, some schools will do it as a class project a lot cheaper than body shops.
