Anyone know where I can find a set of passenger floorboards for my Vulcan 900 that don't cost over $200? The pegs just aren't doing it. The wife has already let her foot go too low and left a nice blob of rubber on the pipe that I had to clean off. I'd like to replace them with a set of floorboards but don't want to pay the huge price of over $200 for them. And other brands around that are cheaper? I can't seem to find any for this bike.

When I had my 900 I took a set of old model HD boards and with a drill and grinder I was able to mount them to my factory pegs. They didn't fold up, but they worked. All for about $40. There is/was a post on this forum, I think, detailing what to buy and how to do it.

Check Ebay. There's lots of listings for under $100. That's where I got both sets of floorboards for my Vulcan.

I made my own from plastic cutting board material. I had found the design on a Vulcan 750 fourm. You unscrew the rubber from the original foot peg and replace it with the one you made.

I actually went to the local bike shop and asked one of their guys about them. They directed me to a set of Kuryakyn universal boards that with an adapter fit just right. Cost about $97 but the wife loves them a lot more than the pegs so they're worth it and less than half the price of the others I was looking at.
