Hello,

Well I purchased my first bike and it is a 1990 Ninja 600R with 13000 miles on it. I paid 1100 for it because it has one problem and I would like to know if you guys would know an easy solution. Here is the problem

The odometer, RPM, and mileage gauge are not working. Could it be a fuse or something? Also could someone send me to a link where I can pick up a repair manual for this year and model?

THanks in advance,
Sam

First things first
RPM gauge = Tachometer
Mileage Gauge = Odometer
MPH Gauge = Speedometer

Chances are it's a 10 dollar fix (that's how much my cables are anyways).

1. Check and make sure the cable that is connected to the speedometer and then to the front wheel bearing is tightly in place, then try it.

2. Unscrew then and check to make sure it spins freely, if not, try greasing it, put it back on then see if it works.

3. Spend 10-20 bucks on a new speedometer cable, put it on the front tire and speedometer in place of the old one and you should be good to go, if it's not that I don't know what it could be.
