I recently replaced the engine in my wife's 2002 Vulcan 750. Before the engine change, the turn signals, both left and right worked fine. When I test rode it after the engine change the right signal worked fine but the left was very dim to flash. After riding about 12 to 15 miles, the right signal quit working. I inspected the flasher relay and thought it might have developed a short because one side of the relay was slightly bulging. When I replaced the relay with the new one, the right side worked fine, but when trying the left side both front signal lights, and the brake light all flashed very dimly and the relay got very warm. I think the original relay may have overheated in this fashion while I was riding. If anyone has had this same problem please let me know where to begin my troubleshooting. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.

i did have have the same prob on my bike, but that was an old yamaha. come to find out i had a bad ground . i would check your grounds, the dimming almost sounds like a ground issue. also did you change your directionals at all. if y ou did you might need an load equalizer. thats what i ended up doing ti mine after i changed my rear directional. i hope this helps you out, electrical issues suck.im facin one myself, i have a 86zx900 and i just lost my neutral and kickstand lite on my dash.i also lost my brake lites.
