So after putting the new apes on, I got to take it out for the first time today. The problem that I have is that the flanges on the new cables are a bit longer than the stock cables at the throttle body. The stock clip wouldn't fit with the new cables, so I had to "rig" it to keep them in place. Where it is a problem, is that when I turn the bars to the right it pulls on the cables a bit and throttles up about 500-600 rpm. Has anyone ran into this with how to get the cables firmly attached to the throttle body?

The cables are Barnett cables +10".

You answered your own question really. Call Barnett about them not fitting. Sounds like you have a cable routing or length problem also but that's your baby.
