Just bought a none runner zx750 j1 with a zx9r engine not bad shape until I remove the tank carbs were not attached no fuel lines from carbs or from petrol tank iam new to this jumped in deep end have found engine no its between 1994 to 1997 b but not really a clue what hoses go where need a little help

Without wishing to sound disrespectful, if you can’t figure this one out with or without the help of google etc then you’re probably in way over your head.

There should be a vacuum line from one of the carbs back to the tap in order to allow fuel to flow. It will be one of the four capped jokes (one per carb) used fir balancing. This is on the engine side of the carb. There should be a fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump and from the fuel pump to a common line to flow fuel to all four carbs. Each carb will also have an overflow to atmosphere, the tube is usually directed down to min front of the rear wheel.

Also, have a look at the parts diagram (for the Zx9r) on the partzilla website or the Fowlers website. I don’t think there’ll be much difference between any 94-97 bike, the 98 onwards we’re different though.
