Hi - I have a bit of a problem with my bike. After getting it MOTd today I was told that I need to replace the downpipes, which should cost about £120 for the part, but that is for a different topic.

I have got it back home ok, but now I can't get it to start up at all. Pressing the start button has no effect. I have double-checked the kill switch, and jiggled the button around a bit, but still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what could be the cause (we have some nice weather at the moment, so want to get this sorted as soon as possible!)

Cheers!

edit - oops! Forgot to say it is a GPZ500S (2000)

Battery good?
Fuel flow to carbs?
Bike in Neutral?
Sidestand and clutch lever pulled in?
Key turned on?

Always think of the basics at a time like this.
