I Recently bought a 1988 Kx 80 from Nevada from 6,000ft to Sea level in CA i had the bike running in mid Oct but now that its winter i cant get it to run. I replaced the Main jet:from 118 to a 150 also to the pilot jet:from 60 to 58
but the bike still wont run or even stay started. For Example i can get it started for a few secs then it dies if i give it any throttle and it still dies if i dont give it throttle and once it dies ill check the Spark Plug and its always Oil fouled(drenched in gas and oil) i have checked everything all the the jets are clean and clear my jet needle clip is in the middle(3rd)groove, but still it wont start im getting spark, fuel hose is clean AND EVERYTHING!

ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED THANKS.

you didnt go down far enough on the pilot jet your still too rich, check your manual and it will tell you what STOCK size jetting was.
