Hey, Onewheelers
Does anyone here have a problem with oil leaking from their air box when wheelieing.
Whenever I wheelie my bike at balance point for a while she leaks oil from the air box.
My guess for why this is happening is that, when the bike get high enough the crankcase vent tube on the rear of the engine allows oil to flow into the airbox. This oil then drains down through a hose at the bottom of the airbox.
Has anyone had this problem before and if so, how did you correct it????

This really shouldnt be a problem, atleast i dont think. Your oil, especially while wheelieing should be used at a pretty steady rate. by used i mean pumped to the head and dripped back to your oil pan, which klr do you have?

if this really is a problem for you then you may need to create another reservoir above your oil supply at the balance point. You shouldnt have to run it to the air box but you will need to cap off the old line to the air box.
I found the problem on the Klr.
The manufacture had placed a small sponge in the oil drain hose leading down from the air box to the oil overflow bottle. What a bunch of smart#%$es.
Dont have a clue as to why they put it there in the first place, but I'll bet it was to make sure I hit a loop when the oil soaks the rear brake disc at the 11:59
Hasta luego!! "Onewheeler"
