Progressive sucks

I just started my policy with Progressive on March 26. This past weekend I completed the MSF course, so I called Progressive today for the 10% discount, and for some reason that the rep didn't know they no longer offer it... :? When I asked why she couldn't tell me, all she knew was that it wasn't offered.

Dump them, dump them, dump them!!! Sorry for the broken record effect! But your right they suck. Dump them! Last one for good measure.
I am using www.bike-line.com
Got my policy for 1/2 as much as progressive wanted. Heck, geico would have been cheaper for me also but not as cheap as bike-line.

I was disappointed I with my Progressive quote because I carry my auto insurance through them.... and they sponsor racing events.
This is funny.. I tried a free quote from priceline and this is what I got
Teng Xiong, your annual BikelinE rate is... $1,348.00
I only pay 402.00 for full coverage from State farm annualy :D

Dump them quick. I had Progressive when I first got my truck and they were off the charts; I just needed to get insured to get it off the lot. Luckily I'm in the military so I can go through USAA. I only pay $250 a year for my bike insurance.
Geico won't insure in michigan, and I tried bike-line but the online quote didn't work, I gotta call them. State farm told me it'd be expensive cause I don't have insurance with them.
1,142.00 a year with bike-line

thats comprehensive with a 255 deductible. No violations and MSF course under me.

what a ripoff.

I pay 186/yr with progressive. it was 380 if I wanted comprehensive (no $$ at that point in time)
well I probably shouldn't complain that much then.

I have 3 tickets all last year (it was a bad couple of monthes). My policy with progressive is 338/yr for 250 deductible comprehensive.

that doesn't seem bad with 3 tickets on a 250, I'm also insuring twice the motor you are.
$104 a year with state mins and no comp but with roadside assistance. Didn't see the need for comp on a 20 year old bike. no wrecks no tickets
prog wanted almost $400 and gieco wanted like $280 something for the same thing.
i have progressive on my bike. paying for full coverage and all the frills (comprehensive, collision, UM, UIM, etc) and when i got in a wreck, alluvasudden, my collision insurance was gone. when i asked why i'm paying so much, they were like, "i don't know, maybe that's something you and your agent need to talk about." so screw them, i'm going to look on bike-line now.

I'm riding a 600 though.
Wierd... I've used Progressive for a while now and everyone else wants to charge me at least twice the amount.

Whatever works... that's the important part...
Yes, what ever works is the important theme here.

One also has to remember that our geographic locations affect insurance our insurance rates.

Always shop around......

I really wanted to use Progressive though cause they insure my car for a good rate and sponsor that bike race series...... I think it's AMA flat track
STRONG WORDS

Strong words like this are not right. I had to use Progressive instead of State Farm in Hawaii because it was the only vehicle that I had registered in Hawaii, where I bought it. When a lady suddenly decided to run a red light I t-boned her at 35 and couldn't do anything but launch myself over her car...cool. and Progressive had me a new bike in less than 24 hours with no raise in insurance..and I had FULL everything. I'm not sayin gthat they are saints and their rates are not price gouging, but "Progressive Sucks" is very OVERBOARD for a comment, no matter how upset you are .
Insurance in general is too expensive, but it's just one of those things in life; like taxes. Progressive sucks just for the fact that they don't offer an incentive for the MSF course. You would think that they would want to insure safe drivers, and the safest riders are the ones who take the MSF course. I'm still using them until I find a better deal.
Sorry, but I find the Strong word Offensive in Public

Just like putting your feet up on he coffee, table or wearing your hat, or going shirtless at the dinner table, you may get by with it in your own house...but this in not your own house and the olny reason I find it offensive is because this may be part of your forum, but it too belongs to women and children. I would ask that ALL FORUM Members cease from using profane language, whre it is blatenly obvious. I'm Retired Navy, and even though I can cuss like a sailor, I do NOT approve of it in public. So I kindly ask you to put a sock in it. I'm sure that Progressive could persue your statement...although I believe that they "price gouge the motorcycle industry in their form of insurance. I wouldn't put it in words like you have... Just suggestion...not really getting in your face...sometimes our tempers flair and we NEED to vent...that is all fine and dandy...just make sure that you aren't headlining them...
Re: STRONG WORDS

You see, when insurance knows its someone elses fault like that, they are quick to settle but when they have a doubt, then it takes them longer.

In your case, they probably got a hold of the police report OR due to the fact that you t-boned her, they knew they were gona get money from her insurance so that is probably why they settled? OR perhaps she had progressive too, hahaha, so they didn't want you suing her in which, you'd be suing progressive.. :D
Alot of probables come in to play when filing a claim with ANY insurance :D

What profane language are you talking about? My temper isn't flaired, I'm just annoyed.
+1 for them kinda sucking. I had an experience where I was purchasing my first vehicle at a relatively young age......they quoted me a price for full coverage which I accepted....I then gave them nearly 1,000.00 dollars down for the policy....and went and picked up my, "new to me car" that I had to have full coverage on. Less than a week later I was informed from the secretary that they had, "accidentally" given me a wrong quote and they had to, "adjust" it to be correct. The difference was so many hundreds of dollars per month that I couldn't even afford the car and the insurance!

Bait and switch....
Jerks with shady business practices.

:D
