Any chance you remember how the wiring worked for the taillight? I am trying to wire mine and am having difficulties.. the aftermarket light has a blk and a red.. the bike has a red, a red/blu, and a black/yellow.. your bike is awesome and has partially inspired my build..thanks
The tail light is intended for a chasis ground so it doesn't come equipped with a ground wire. All you have to do is run a ground from one of the screws on the light to the black/yellow ground on the bike. The other 2 wires coming from the light will be tail and brake, you'll have to test them to see which is which. Let me know if you need more

I got home and tried that and still no go. I wired from the screw behind the light to the blk/yellow and then tried both the other combonations and nothing, no running light or brake light when brake applied when running.. Funny thing is when I turn the key back to park the brake light comes on in both combonations one is dimmer than the other..?? So frustrating, it seems everything is a hassle..I want to ride..

on my bike, the Roads 6 Customs side mount light has a green wire and a black wire
green connects to bike - blue &red stripe wire ( goes to brake light switch)
black to bike's - red wire
I had some trouble with mine at first, but has worked problem free for long time.
make sure all mounting screws are tight (ground)

crap and poop..excuse my language, more trouble.. I wired up the stock tail light off the bike and it would have running lights but no brakes.. so now even the original config isnt working.. for both front and rear to be out has to say something.. please help, I bet the aftermarket tail light will work once i figure this out. even if the guy at the shop messed up splicing the front brake wire the rear brake should work..it worked before..

Second to greedy's comment. I have the Model A light and it took a bit of fiddling and a blown fuse before I got the wiring right. You have to ground the stop lamp to itself since there are only two wires in the harness. The other two wires go to each point in the stock harness. If you're not seeing a red "on" light, which is supposed to be on all the time, then check the fuses.

The front brake and the rear brake wires are already connected in the factory harness just under the tank so you should not need to splice them together. No mater which brake switch you use (handlebar or foot) they both close the same curcuit to energize the brake light. Rememer these bikes do not use chasiss ground, so when you run the ground wire from the body of the tail light, it has to connect to the ground curcuit in the wiring harness, not just to the frame.

Re: KING TANK

Side stand switch.... Bike starts and idles perfect, but put her into gear and she dies. I've trimmed back the majority of wiring all the way back to the fuse box. Where do I need to jumper to bypass the kick stand switch? I don't see it on my basic wiring diagram...

Re: KING TANK

Nevermind, I figured it out. When you disconnect the side stand switch one of those wires is green/white and leads back to the fuse/junction box. That wire needs to be jumpered to ground, black/yellow. Problem solved - lets go for a ride!! :)

Headlight Bouncing?

So after removing the front turn signal brackets which support the lower triple tree cover, my headlight would bounce all around while driving down a bumpy back road. It moved so much it was hitting the top tree. The headlight bracket is rubber mounted, here's what I did to tighten her up:

Under the lower tree cover you will find these rubber bushings with a steel insert

Cut both the rubber and the insert down to be flush with the triple tree

Install the cut bushing and insert into the hole from the bottom. Now put it all back together. This allows the tree cover/headlight bracket to be secured tight against the tree eliminating any play from the rubber bushing. The headlight is now solid mounted. How will the bulb hold up to the extra vibration and shock? Time will tell, but this completely cured the annoying light bounce...

SAYONARA SAKIBOB

Took SakiBob for a ride up to the mountain top cafe. While I was sitting there enjoying my chorizo breakfast burrito, a guy asked me a couple of questions about the bike and then offered to buy it for much more $ than I had in to it, I could not refuse

So I sold it... Time to start a new project - SAYONARA SAKIBOB !
