Re: KING TANK

Thx m8

You are right about the high tank look, from my point of view I think your tank choice is a perfect match.
I guess I better order one then, even with shipping it's half the price of the cost in Sweden.

Re: KING TANK

Was talking to the ebay guy, and he didn't have any petcock or cap for the tank, do you know what fits. I guess the thread's not metric. Any direction you could point me at for looking so I get the right parts?

Re: KING TANK

Mine was an OEM Harley tank not aftermarket so it took the standard 22mm petcock and screw in vented cap. I would think the seller should be able to tell you what the petcock threads are and if screw in or cam type gas cap, if he can't, he doesn't want to sell that bad. Otherwise you may have to get the tank and see for your self...
Good luck

Re: KING TANK

I been keepin my eyes peeled for a good candidate to tear down and rebuild but everyone out here in SoCal wants too much $ for their chrome covered shiney Vulcans. Been toying with the idea to get an old HD XL1200 and build on that.... I don't know

Was lurking these build threads and came across this one. The bike looked familiar and then I realized it was the same one that's sitting in my garage hah. I guess I bought it off of the guy the OP sold it to. Since I've had it I've torn it down and rebuilt it to my tastes. It's cool to see how this thing started off. Thanks for the awesome groundwork greedy!
